Obra póstuma de Yukio Mishima, cuyo verdadero nombre era Kimitake Hiraoka, es considerado por algunos como el último samurai, nos deleita al tiempo que nos sumerge dentro de sus propios sentimientos y sufrimientos por la ya decadente sociedad japonesa la cual había perdido parte de su cultura tradicional y que el consideraba como vulgar como consecuencia de la influencia occidental y del mundo moderno.
